Bilingual dreaming!
Feb. 22nd, 2020 04:32 pmI have now had a few dreams where i know i've been speaking Danish. The reason i know is because i have the exact same difficulties speaking Danish in my dreams as i do in my actual life. The same words are difficult for me to pronounce in my dreams, and there was one time where something was too complicated for me to explain, and i had to ask to switch to English!
I presume every other Danish speaker in my dreams speaks fluently, but i haven't yet remembered enough of my dreams to know for sure!
There was a very fun dream where some of my Danish colleagues spoke Swedish! I remember hearing one of them say "Kaffe med socker" and i was like "Hold on! That's Swedish!" Then they started showing off what other Swedish they knew, in exaggerated Swedish accents! That was funny! I imagine watching "The Bridge" helped to inspire that particular dream! :)
