Copenhagen Light Festival 2020
Feb. 23rd, 2020 04:39 pmCome take a walk with me around Copenhagen to see some of the exhibits of the 2020 Copenhagen Light Festival. I love light and colour, and I especially love art that you can walk around, move through it, interact with it, feel part of it.
A key sign of the light festival is the Green Beam, a laser light tribute to Niels Bohr, which becomes more ambitious every year. This year it stretched almost 4km from Tivoli to Refshaleøen, including going through a window into a building, reflecting off a mirror and coming out of another window! The beam can be seen overhead at several points as you walk around the city.
Also included in this video are Nyhavn, Tivoli and the DI building, which are not actually part of the festival, but are always lit up beautifully anyway. I love how the DI building sometimes has LYS/LIGHT written on it during Copenhagen Light Festival.
